Put a bow on it

Can I tell you a secret?

I’ve never been one to like bows.

There’s something about them that has always seemed too cutesy to me.

As if each one should come accompanied with the perfect blonde ringlets, pink gingham, or an episode of Toddlers & Tiaras.

For the longest time, I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing one.

I’d roll my eyes whenever a graphic designer would put one in front of me as a potential business logo for myself or one of my clients.

Then one day, it hit me: I was wrong.

Bows, it turns out, are actually quite amazing.

Why?

Because a bow symbolizes putting the final touch on something.

Like a job well done.

Or the perfect present.

Like a thread one might tie around one's finger to remember something—or someone—important, a bow is a charming symbol of our most important ties.

And I love all the different ways it can epitomize our mission: To make beautifully simple stationery perfect for all life’s pep talks.

Which is why I thoughtfully integrate this signature mark into every one of our designs for Pretty Peptalks.

It’s like an unexpected, but delightful surprise.

Sometimes it’s obvious in the design. While others require you to have a closer look.

I want to make it easier to tell those you love that you love them, to give that tough love pep talk when it’s warranted, and to reach out when it’s been way too long.

That starts by tying up all those loose ends with beautiful bows.

It’s time to put a bow on it!

See what I did there?
